Results are based on a BBC Channel 4 poll in 2005 … so the selections are a reflection of real world popularity. Documentaries are a genre near and dear to my heart, and I have not watched as many as I would have liked, due to accessibility issues (many are aired on television just the once; and then are sold as expensive dvd’s). Most grateful for this compilation; will act as a spur for further viewing.
If you have a spare couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon, this is quite a journey into the realm of human expression and possibility; of endeavour and the extremes of our nature and the world.
